Whether its groceries for the week or gear for the soccer game, the Pilot offers drivers plenty of cargo space. And with versatile 2nd and 3rd rows that can be folded in several different combinations, the interior can be rearranged to accommodate bulky or awkwardly shaped cargo items without taking away from the passenger space. For the most cargo space, fold both rear rows of seats down completely flat for a maximum of 109 cubic feet. The cargo area also features:
The Pilot accommodates a total of 8 passengers. The penultimate Touring model swaps out the second row with captain’s chairs as an available option, and the top-of-the-line Elite has it as the standard, bringing the seating capacity to a total of 7 passengers. Spacious in every row, even tall adults in the back seat will have plenty of leg and headroom to sit comfortably.
Throughout the cabin, drivers will find helpful storage options for smaller cargo items. These storage areas help keep the interior of the Pilot tidy and organized, perfect for busy families on the go.
The Pilot is ready tow with an impressive towing capacity for both the 2WD and AWD configuration. Available on every model, drivers who need to tow larger loads should consider the AWD, which can tow up to 5,000 lbs. Attempting to tow a load that exceeds your vehicle’s limits is extremely dangerous, but drivers who only need to tow lightweight trailers, teardrop campers, jet skis, and more, the 2WD could be more than enough, with a towing capacity of 3,500 lbs.
For even more organization in the cargo area, the Pilot has a number of available accessories. These accessories can free up more space for passengers in the seating area and protect the cargo area from dirt, debris, and moisture, making every cleanup process much easier.
With available exterior accessories, such as cross bars, drivers can secure more cargo and gear up top. Hit the slopes with skis and snowboards, or grab your surfboard and head for the waves.
