You can take the stress out of your daily commute with these easy-to-use driver-assist features.
Auto High-Beam Headlights: In the high-end Elite trim, the Pilot’s high-beam headlights activate and deactivate automatically in response to oncoming traffic. This is one Pilot feature that’s sure to be appreciated by your friends and neighbors.
Blind Spot Monitoring System: Both a blind spot monitoring system and a rear cross-traffic monitor come standard in the Honda Pilot’s Elite trim. The former uses small red indicators on each sideview mirror to alert you to the presence of traffic in your blind spot. The latter beeps to warn you if a vehicle or pedestrian is set to cross your path while you’re in reverse.
Honda LaneWatch: This system, standard on the EX trim level and up, lets you view your righthand blind spot on a small screen connected to a sideview-mirror-mounted camera. With this technology, you won’t have to turn in your seat to get a clear view of your surroundings.
No amount of high-end safety technology can make up for sloppy handling, an unresponsive drivetrain, or an unstable chassis. Thankfully, all five of the Honda Pilot’s trim levels have been outfitted with a wide array of standard active and passive safety technologies, and all-wheel drive is available on every model.
Drivers who upgrade to the Honda Pilot’s EX or EX-L trims will have the option to upgrade with the celebrated Honda Sensing safety package—and it’s standard on Touring and Elite models. The features grouped into this collection use the Pilot’s onboard computer to help prevent collisions and keep you on the right path.
Collision Mitigation Braking System: The Pilot’s system of cameras and sensors keeps a constant watch on the road ahead, and in the event of an emergency, its Collision Mitigation Braking System can even stop your vehicle automatically. Additional protection is provided by a Forward Collision Warning, also part of the Honda Sensing package.
Adaptive Cruise Control: Making the most of conventional cruise control systems requires near constant attention, but Adaptive Cruise Control automatically adjusts your rate of travel in accordance with the flow of traffic. Just set your preferred follow distance and let the computer go to work.
Lane Guidance: In Pilot models that have been equipped with Honda Sensing, a Lane Departure Warning, a Road Departure Mitigation System, and a Lane Keeping Assist System work together to help you stay on the road and in your lane.
