If you’re a fan of Honda, then you are probably well aware of Magic Seats, a handy feature that has been popping up on newer models. The name may sound mystifying, but the functionality of these Magic Seats is even more exciting. At first glance, it’s not very easy to tell that anything about these seats is out of the ordinary, but these 60/40-split rear seats have more to offer than meets the eye. In addition to standard fold-down abilities, the Magic Seats also have four other modes for situating people or cargo. Check out these modes and their uses below!

Magic Seat Modes

Magic Seats are capable of conforming to four cargo-carrying modes to fit your specific needs at the time. Below we’ve outlined the four modes and their role on the 2018 Honda Fit.

  • Refresh Mode – Take some time out for yourself and relax with the family by removing the front headrest from the front-row seats and reclining them fully to give your legs a good stretch.
  • Utility Mode – Fold down the rear seats to create a flat cargo area in order to provide the maximum amount of cargo space for larger items.
  • Long Mode – To fit in longer cargo items, simply fold the front passenger seat down to gain extra space that will accommodate it.
  • Tall Mode – Fold up the cushions of the rear seat to create a deep cargo space behind the front seats to store all of your taller items with ease.
